As part of the "Landslide Awareness Conference" organized by Salarha Şehit Nedim Çalık Secondary School on May 7, 2025, Soner Oruç, Field Officer of the EBSLM Project, gave a presentation titled "Landslide and Erosion Measures in Tea Plantations." Oruç provided information about the EBSLM Project and Sustainable Land Management (SAY) approaches. 

The conference began with opening remarks from Şehit Nedim Çalık Secondary School teacher Mükerrem Sandalcı and school officials, and Salarha Mayor Hasan Kara, followed by technical presentation by Çisem Özcan, AFAD Rize Branch Manager, and Soner Oruç. 

The event, attended by approximately fifty tea producers from Salarha, comprehensively addressed the problems of landslides and erosion in tea plantations, along with traditional and modern solutions.
