The interim evaluation meeting of the activities carried out within the scope of the Integrated Natural Resources Management Project in the Eastern Black Sea Region with a Very Humid Climate (DOKSAY) was held on January 26, 2026, at the Meeting Hall of the General Directorate of Combating Desertification and Erosion of the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change.
The meeting was attended by the technical delegation chaired by Prof. Dr. Kasım Yenigün, Director General of Combating Desertification and Erosion, as well as representatives of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Nature Conservation Centre (DKM).
Within the scope of the DOKSAY Project, the activities carried out throughout 2025 were discussed in detail. In addition, the activities planned to be implemented in 2026 were evaluated, and views were exchanged on priority implementation areas.
The alignment of the DOKSAY Project with the National Land Degradation Neutrality (LDN) targets, Türkiye’s 2053 Net Zero Emissions Target, the Paris Agreement, and national environmental policies was emphasized.
The DOKSAY Project is implemented under the coordination of the General Directorate of Combating Desertification and Erosion of the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change of the Republic of Türkiye, in cooperation with relevant public institutions. The project is financed by the Global Environment Facility (GEF) and implemented by the Nature Conservation Centre (DKM) with the support of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
