Field studies are continuing within the scope of the DOKSAY Project for the Integrated Natural Resource Management Plan planned to be prepared in the Kireçhane Micro-watershed. In order to incorporate the views of local residents into the planning process, neighborhood meetings were held on May 22–23 in the Kireçhane, Yeşilılıca, and Kırklartepesi neighborhoods.

The meetings, organized in cooperation with neighborhood headmen, were attended by nearly one hundred participants. During the gatherings, environmental issues and natural resource management challenges identified by residents living within the micro-watershed boundaries, along with proposed solutions, were discussed.

The opinions and suggestions shared by participants are expected to contribute to the preparation of the Integrated Natural Resource Management Plan, while the meetings were considered an important step toward strengthening local participation.
